Should there be a Practice Day in Season 2 ?

Practice Day:

Well that part stands to discuss. Until now the practice race was never really well attended by racers and it begs the question is the day wrong (Friday) or is the event general not needed or maybe should happen before the actual race?

I personally do my own Test n' Tune on Fridays privately, but I do Stream them for anyone looking for help or tips and tricks as well as providing suggestions as I am also new to True Sim Racing. Another reason I never make the practice is the time, just too early for me. I spend about 4hrs doing my tunes and having the possibility of being disconnected from the server, lag from others, crashing into or by others will take away from this dedication or even just that the Practice may not be long enough for me to completely evaluate my car and its tune. Also include drafting as a means of faster times not telling me exactly what I personally would run or others that may get a draft as well.

With that said I still like the idea there is a Practice Day but with that said as well, I believe if we knew the Weather and Time of race (Track time, not the time we need to enter the server). This way we could each get more into our personal tunes and possibly due away with a practice session. As of now, the way we're updated on news for the next event is way too slow. I can see weather updates for any country 15days ahead of time.

My vote is keep practice for newcomers and such to learn about the race at hand. But also update track info for those of us who either can't make the preset time, spread our tunes over a few days or have stream schedules.

Edit: If the race is switched to Sundays, then Saturdays would be a better possibility for me to come to the practice.

i think tuning is driver responsibility, but maybe a longer practice and qual before the race on race day is needed.
